Description
Hundreds of thousands of semipalmated sandpipers visit the upper region of the Bay of Fundy in August each year. They come to fatten up on tasty crustaceans found in the mud flats that become ezposed at low tide. This image shows them huddled together in snooze mode at high tide - there only chance to catch a few winks amid their busy feeding / bulking up schedule.
